After qualifying as an RGN in June 1987, Cathy worked for a short time on a surgical ward but very soon moved to Interventional Radiology. She spent 4 years as a Staff Nurse before becoming the Charge Nurse in this Department. Most of her career has been spent in Vascular Intervention. After the last of her 7 children left home in October 2017, she decided to retire from the NHS to indulge in some “me time”. She enjoys holidaying abroad, spending time with her family, and has recently taken up photography, which she enjoys immensely.
