Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.
Leg ulcers appear as broken skin in the lower leg or feet. We have been successfully treating venous leg ulcers for over 20 years.

Born and raised in Oxford, she qualified from Cambridge University School of Medicine in 2004, coming top of her year and winning numerous academic awards. She was an NIHR lecturer in surgery at Imperial College, London, and conducted studies in endovascular technology and virtual reality simulation.
Nung trained in surgery at St Mary’s Hospital. She was awarded the American College of Phlebology Scholarship and the Simpson Smith Travelling Fellowship to further her endovascular and venous experience.

Nung’s greatest sporting achievement was winning Blades at Cambridge (as a cox!). She now enjoys sweating it out in hot yoga classes and running around after dogs in Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park, where she lives. She is a keen skier, a qualified sommelier, and an amateur cellist. She loves painting, music, and dance, though her skills in all three areas are still developing!
