Dr Neil Prasad qualified from the University of Manchester in 2008 and after basic medical training in the north west, began Clinical Radiology training in Sheffield in 2012. During the latter half of this 6 year programme, he sub-specialised in Interventional Radiology. He has worked at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist since then and took up the post of Head of Service for this department in 2021.
He performs a wide range of procedures in this role which are mostly focused on vascular (blood vessel) and hepatobiliary (liver) interventions. Nottingham is one of the busiest major trauma and vascular surgery centres in the UK.
Outside of work, he is a keen cyclist when he gets the chance! Otherwise, he is the husband of a fabulous GP and proud father of two amazing young girls.
