    Dr Andrew Leitch is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist currently practicing at South Tees NHS Foundation Trust. With expertise in endourology, interventional oncology, biliary, and vascular interventions, he plays a key role in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services within the organisation, with a diagnostic focus on vascular, urological, and gastrointestinal systems.

    Dr Leitch’s medical career encompasses comprehensive specialty training in interventional and clinical radiology through the Northern Deanery, complemented by early experience in trauma and orthopaedics at NHS Lanarkshire and foundational training in the West of Scotland Foundation Program having graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014.

    Highly committed to medical education, Dr. Leitch regularly leads radiology teaching sessions for resident doctors and medical students, both within the Northern School of Radiology and locally at South Tees Hospitals. He also holds a PGCert in Health Professions Education from FAIMER-Keele University, underscoring his dedication to developing the next generation of radiologists.

    Dr Leitch is a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) where he has held a number of trainee committee positions, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), the British Society Urogenital Radiology (BSUR), and a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (2019).

    In addition to his medical career, Dr Leitch is an avid marathon runner, having completed two of the six World Marathon Majors to date. He aspires to complete all six majors in support of various charities. When not working or running, Dr Leitch enjoys baking bread, a pastime he shares with friends and family.
