Leg Ulcers Treatment Prices

As the UK’s largest network of specialist vein clinics, we pride ourselves on transparent, fixed pricing – no ‘from’ prices or hidden fees.

How Much Does Venous Leg Ulcer Treatment Cost?

We understand that cost is an important part of your decision when considering treatment for a venous leg ulcer. That is why we offer clear, fixed pricing with no hidden extras or vague “from” figures, so you know exactly what to expect.

Your venous leg ulcer treatment plan is carefully tailored to you, based on your ABPI test and ultrasound scan results, symptoms, and what matters most to you. Most leg ulcers are caused by venous insufficiency, the same underlying cause of varicose veins. For the majority of our patients, treatment typically involves Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), which is recommended by NICE for varicose veins. Once this is treated, the wound will close up. We find that these methods lead to quicker healing and longer-lasting results than traditional approaches. In our experience, leg ulcers tend to remain healed following this treatment pathway.

This walk-in, walk-out treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic and usually takes around an hour. It requires no hospital stay, involves minimal downtime, and is associated with a 99% success rate.

Additional Leg Ulcer Treatment Pricing

In some cases, your consultant may recommend additional treatments to support your healing journey and help achieve the best long-term outcome. This might include further foam sclerotherapy to close down any smaller or residual veins affecting circulation, or avulsions (also known as phlebectomies) to remove surface veins that may be slowing the healing process. Your treatment plan will always be tailored to you, based on how your veins respond and what matters most to you.

If any further procedures are advised, your consultant will explain everything clearly and take time to answer any questions. You will receive a transparent breakdown of costs with no hidden fees, so you can make a confident, informed decision.
