Varicose veins mainly occur in the legs, but not exclusively.

Men can also get them in the scrotum (called varicocele). Women can get a similar sort of problem to the male varicocele: a condition called pelvic congestion syndrome, which is aching and pain in the pelvis, and can be associated with varicose veins on the vulva.
