Why did Gaynor decide to get treatment for her varicose veins?
Gaynor Faye is an actress and writer, known for her roles in Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and The Syndicate. But away from the cameras, she dealt with a growing issue that began to affect her confidence and comfort – varicose veins.
“I used to do ballet as a child and I noticed the protruding vein starting to develop,” Gaynor explains. “It would affect my confidence sometimes when doing walking away shots. I knew it was there, so yeah it did affect me.”
Over time, the symptoms worsened. As a writer, she found it increasingly difficult to sit for long periods at her desk. “My legs would ache and itch, especially at night, and it the constant scratching at night really started affecting my sleep.”
